UFO-LAST ORDERS EUROPEAN TOUR-2022-ANDY PARKER-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--8 X 14.......

British Rock Legends UFO  have completed the first leg of their European Tour on their Last Orders Tour. To no surprise, it has been met with rave reviews. Easily one of the most influential Melodic Hard Rock Bands in Music History, the band is in prime form as they have always been. UFO has influenced so many bands and musicians over the decades, it would literally be difficult to calculate. Iron Maiden to this day still has two of their songs playing before they hit the stage. Slash has repeatedly mentioned that the band is one of the greatest in history, and Strangers In The Night is the greatest melodic Hard Rock live album of all time.  That sentiment is also shared by Tesla, Bill Leverty of Firehouse, and numerous others.  Over the years when I have brought up the band at shows, the conversation would literally erupt into a chorus of comments on the band, and the influence their music has had on their lives.

Andy Parker is using his 1.5 Steel–8 x 14-Gloss White for this tour. That has become one of his favorites, and it has been his main in Europe for a number of years now. In previous years, his 1.5 Steel–5.5 x 14 was his main on countless tours for over a decade. He also has used that drum on numerous studio albums from UFO which I cherish. For his USA rig, his 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 14 has been his main for over a decade. Andy had one of the first of those drums, and after delivering it in Chicago to him, it simply never left his kit.

Andy was one of my drum heroes as a kid, and UFO was one of my favorite bands, if not my top of the list favorite. I saw the band when I was 14 on their first/one of their first U.S. Tours, and the impression of that never left me. I would bring that ticket stub from the mid 1970’s to Andy years later, and he remembered the show, and all of the details.

Congratulations you guys, it is surreal to see you out live again. Elizabeth and I will look forward to seeing you in October! Thank you Andy Parker for continuing to create lifelong memories for me, Elizabeth, and fans around the world.

Will be adding to this article as the tour progresses on the second leg, and Andy…Give you a ring next week!
