MICHAEL GRANDO-JOE DIFFIE 2017 TOUR-MINOT, NORTH DAKOTA-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--4 X 15....

Joe Diffie recently stopped on his 2017 tour in Minot, North Dakota for a show at the Norsk Hostfest with John Michael Montgomery & The Doobie Brothers. His long-time touring drummer, Michael Grando, had one his several snare drums from here-The 1.5 Steel--4 x 15.

This is a drum that has seen extensive use from him on the road, and on the local scene in Nashville. As well, he was one of the early players of that drum. I met him through one of Nashville's all-time greats: Pat McDonald. Link below to a video of a live video with him and the drum.

Thanks Again for everything Michael....It is great to be in touch and to see you with that drum....

NICK FORCHIONE ON THE ROAD WITH THE PEACH PICKERS & HIS BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14...LUKE BRYAN'S FARM TOUR-2017~

Nashville ace, Nick Forchione, just concluded a run on Luke Bryan's Farm Tour with the Peach Pickers. This was the 9th annual year for this event, and the Peach Pickers are repeatedly selected to be a part of this. As well, Nick chose his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 for the tour. That drum has been a huge part of his playing since he started with it, and will also be on an upcoming release. That is always something I really look forward to.

Like it happens sometime...I missed the show in Illinois due to logistics. It is really something I wanted to see, and was looking forward to seeing Nick live. Gotta say, next year for sure. No way am I missing this again!

Thanks Again For Everything Nick.....

PURE PRAIRIE LEAGUE-LIVE ON VILLAGE FOLK SHOW-SIRIUS XM-SCOTT THOMPSON-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14...

Pure Prairie League did a live interview and session this morning on Sirius XM on the Village Folk Show with Mary Sue Twohy. It is quite lengthy, and it is fantastic. Scott Thompson had along his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 which is one of three that he uses regularly. The other two drums he tours with are the 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 & 4 x 15.

Link below to the show. This should be archived for some time, if not indefinitely. It is a great listen. Pure Prairie League is on their 48th year, and they are a musical treasure...

Thank You Scott....Looking forward to seeing you guy's soon.....

THEO BROWN BACK IN THE US ON TOUR-SELWYN BIRCHWOOD BAND-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--8 X 15....

My brother from Canada, native of Philadelphia, former touring drummer for Sonny Rhodes (and many others)....Was recently back in the US for a tour with the Selwyn Birchwood Band. Theo also had along one of his mains, and a drum that seems like it is always with him....The Beier 1.5 Steel--8 x 15. He is one of the few players to have one of these drums, and like I have said before: It is one those situations where a particular drum is with the exact right player.

Next time I seriously hope this band rolls through Milwaukee, or even within distance for me in Chicago. THANK YOU Theo as always...

GEORGE LINDSAY-OH WONDER ULTRALIFE WORLD TOUR-2017-MILWAUKEE-TURNER HALL-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 15....

UK sensation Oh Wonder recently rolled through Milwaukee on their Ultralife 2017 World Tour. George Lindsay is behind the kit, and it was a lot of fun to finally meet him and talk drums.

George is using a 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 15 on the tour, and it was great he used it for the show here in Milwaukee. This whole band and show is pretty unreal, and it is very easy to see why they are selling out wherever they go. To have one of my drums be a part of that, with a player like George, is really something great.

He is also endorses one of my favorite drum companies ever...Sonor. Watching him play I had to shake my head and smile. His kit is almost exactly like Zack Stewart's Sonor kit with Josh Thompson. Zack uses a 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 15 as well.

Thank You George for everything. Have a great time on tour, and also Congratulations on your first appearance on network television on the Today Show!
