A tribute to Eric Clapton was recently released, and it is a star-studded industry compilation. I have the honor of Lynyrd Skynyrd legend, Artimus Pyle, using his 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 14 on I Shot the Sheriff. Industry great, owner of Ray-Tone Records, and longtime drummer for Dustin Sonnier, Ray Rebert, engineered the vocals on Lay Down Sally with Sammy Kershaw in his studio.
Artimus has used his 1.5 Steel–6.5 x 14 exclusively live, and in the studio for many years. He has repeatedly stated it is the finest snare drum he has ever used in his legendary career. Ray owns three 1.5 Steel–4 x 15, and they are his main live, and in the studio. He also owns #1 of the 1.5 Steel–4 x 15 in Black Nickel.
Thank You Artimus and Thank You Ray. Congratulations on being part of this important and incredible record….
