LYNYRD SKYNYRD LEGEND ARTIMUS PYLE-LIVE WITH THE ARTIMUS PYLE BAND-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14~

Got this pic in this morning from Monte Yoho of The Outlaws. They were at Freedom Fest in Allentown, New Jersey with the Artimus Pyle Band this last weekend. Artimus is using his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 live. From Monte: "He told me your snare was the best snare he has ever played, and is his go-to drum. He said it sounded incredible playing it light, or digging into it. He was thrilled to be playing it." The Artimus Pyle Band is just an utterly spectacular, talent-filled band....Every single one of them. Jerry Lyda is also in the pic. Jerry is a guitar virtuoso, the owner of Music City Asheville, and is also an Authorized Dealer for Beier Drums. He just received another 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 in Gloss White in the store. and any size of Beier Drums can be ordered through him. Thank You Monte, Artimus & Jerry!

RANDY VAUGHN OF DAMAGED GOODS-BEIER 1.5 STEEL SNARE--5.5 X 14~

Wanted to take time out here to send a very heartfelt Thank You to Randy Vaughn of Damaged Goods in Northeastern New York. Randy has had his Beier 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 for about three years now, and the drum has seen extensive use live, and in the studio. Damaged Goods plays live consistently in their region, and I am just always delighted to see he has his drum. How do I know that? His wife Shelley takes some of the best pics I recieve. Randy-That drum always looks brand new, and to hear your feedback all of the time makes my day-Always. The fact that you chose it over your Supra, after being a devotee for decades of that drum, just is the icing on the cake. The Supra...Is one of my all-time favorites as well along with the Acrolite. Thanks Again For Everything.....

THE OUTLAWS AND BLACKHAWK-LIVE IN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS-MONTE YOHO-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14 & 5.5 X 14~

The non-stop Southern Rock & Country Train of The Outlaws and Blackhawk rolled through Arlington Heights, Illinois last week. It is always so great to see these guys, and I was particularly happy that Blackhawk was opening. Without fail...These guys deliver. I have seen them many times, and no matter what venue, what conditions, they prove themselves to be some of the greatest Southern Rock musicians in history. Add to that...They have just finished their fourth decade of live performance and recording. And after all of this time....They are as talented and creative as ever.

Monte Yoho has been using the Beier 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 for quite some time exclusively, and uses his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 as an auxiliary. I will be posting a great webcam of Monte during The Outlaws set. He also just recorded at Chris Anderson's studio with his Beier 2mm Brass with Blackhawk. Very much looking forward to that release.

Thanks Again Monte and all of you guys. Great time. Also Henry...I really appreciate the introduction during the show. That was...Pretty damn funny man...

Special Thanks to Frank Vilardi (Bacon Brothers, Jewel, Donny Osmond) and the Bacon Brothers for a great time this week. VIDEO UP OF MARK ORTMANN OF THE BOTTLE ROCKETS-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14~

I am following up up on a previous post to post a link to a video clip of Mark Ortmann performing live with the Bottle Rockets. They were here recently to headline the Waterfront Festival in Madison, Wisconsin. It is a great shot from the left side of his kit with him and his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 which he uses live, and in the studio. It was also included on the record coming out this Fall. Mark is a player of exceptional talent, and this band is as true to their roots as they were in the beginning. I have heard the new record, and it is going to go over big. Thank You Mark....Hope you guys are in the area soon~

ACHIM FAERBER-CANDYBOMBER STUDIO-BERLIN-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 15~

As I have pointed out on several occasions, Achim Faerber (Eisbrecher, Project Pitchfork, Prag, Automat, Peter Heppner), one of the top performers and players in Europe, is absolutely one of busiest, and most diverse players in this business. It always amazes me how he can go from his heavy hitting duties in Industrial Metal giants Eisbrecher, then the next week be recording this latest project. He just sent me this picture from Candybomber studio where he was recording a 17 track Radioplay....All with his Beier 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15, one of his four Beier Drums. It is very dark, moody & European. The story is based on a book by Celine Minard, the French author. It is a very intense story about people who tried to build a life in the New World, 250 years ago. They landed in Boston, and ended up in Kentucky. The broadcast will be in October, and will update this blog when it airs. Thank You Achim.....You Are Amazing!
