ANDRES FELIPE SILVA GOMEZ-COUNTY Q STUDIO-NASHVILLE-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--4 X 15.....

Andres Felipe Silva Gomez is at the forefront of drumming in South America, and he was recently back in Nashville. He had his 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 in full use for the first time at County Q studio for a session, and for a live performance at the CMA Music Festival. This is a drum he was introduced to by Mark Beckett (Grand Ole Opry, Nashville Sessions, Olivia Newton John), and is a drum that Mark is responsible for designing.

Thank You Again Andres....Will look forward to keeping up on your musical work, staying in touch, keeping updated on that here in the Latest News, and elsewhere on this site!

JULES RADINO'S KIT-BLUE OYSTER CULT TOUR 2018-JIM MEARS-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14....

Several new pics (first two) of Jules Radino's kit for Blue Oyster Cult were shared last week by Jules, and Jim Mears...A good friend, killer drummer, and tech to Jules. They were splitting a bill with Loverboy in Pennsylvania, and Jules had along one of his long time mains....Beier 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14.

That drum has been used for years by Jules, and he also has used his 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 live along with giving a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 a whirl.

I have more memories than I recall sometimes about all of the good times out on the road, and at live shows. There is something particularly fun about seeing Blue Oyster Cult though, and these two guy's. It is, quite simply, a slam-dunk gas of a time. Always has been. And this band continues to draw huge crowds, and are always on the top of their game. From the first note...You can easily hear why they still are one of the most influential in Rock History.

Thanks Again Jim Mears & Jules Radino! See you two this Fall!

THANK YOU DONN DENISTON-DRUMHEAD MAGAZINE....BEIER DRUMS....

Donn Deniston posted the below comment last night on Facebook, and simply had to republish it. This was a really nice sentiment my friend, and wanted you to know how much I appreciate this type of thing.

Donn currently owns a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 & 6.5 x 14. He has made extensive use of them live, particularly with the Michael Katon Band. He also has worked on the business side of drums, and has incredible insight & knowledge of all things related to them. He is someone who has always taken the time out to drop me a detailed line, point out things, inquire about others....All in the sake of music & drums.

As well....I could not agree more about the attention paid to Ludwig in this issue! Thank You Again....

"The latest issue of Drumhead is dedicated to snare drum addictions. Congrats to Ronn DunnettBill Detamore and James Beier for plenty of kudos from the pros. I'm lucky enough to own some fine instruments from each of these gentleman and even luckier to count them as friends. A side note, I was pleased to see so many mentions of the humble old Ludwig Pioneers. I've been a fan of those simple little drums for a few years now. Of course, now the prices will start to go up but I already have mine!"......"

TODD SUCHERMAN-DRUMHEAD MAGAZINES ENSNARED-SPECIAL COMMEMORATIVE ISSUE-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--4 X 15...

It is not every day that you look through your mail, see the latest issue of Drumhead Magazine, thumb through it, and find out one of the world's most beloved drummers not only put a picture of one of your drums in his article, but recalls how we met years ago. Todd Sucherman did just that in this incredible issue Drumhead just published.

Todd put a picture of his 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 in the article, and tells the story of how we met years ago in a bar with his legendary Pearl Rep.,....Mark Terek. It was a LOT of fun....The morning...Not so much. But good friends stay that way, and we all are to this day.

Thank You Todd....This just floored me! Thanks as well to Drumhead for sending me the issue. You have always been so attentive to what I am up to here at Beier Drums, and I really, really appreciate that. You knocked it out of the park with this issue. Congrats to all of the spectacular drummers featured.....

See you in a couple of weeks my friend!

Keith Urban's Graffiti U World Tour started last week, and I could not be happier Seth Rausch' main for the tour, on both A & B rigs, will be the 1.5 Steel--4 x 15.

Thank You Seth for everything, and Thank You also going out to Harry McCarthy of Drum Paradise Nashville, Tommy Harden for his recommendation, and as always to Mark Beckett for the idea and inspiration to manufacture this drum.

Will certainly update this story as the tour continues.....!

NEW RELEASE FROM DAMAGED GOODS-RANDY VAUGHN-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14....

Northern New York based Damaged Goods is getting ready to release their full length album-Revolution Gun. This band has been together for a long time, and they keep a very lively and active schedule in the region.

Randy Vaughn was one of the first customers to pick up a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14, and he has used it as his main since Day 1. I still remember our discussions on what he was looking for in a drum, talking Supraphonics, Grand Funk Railroad, and all things related to drums. I hit it off with him immediately, and have always stayed in touch and followed his and the bands work.

As a prelude to the record release, the band released a single Father's Day. That is available for purchase on their website, as well as the album will be.

Special Thanks as well going out to David Melbie in the band for sending me the requested artwork for the latest releases, and the previously released Christmas Carol. Thank You Randy for all of your support and use of your 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 on all of these records. Looking forward to the release of the new record & to keeping up to date on Damaged Goods!

GERMANY'S ACHIM FAERBER...#1 OF THE BEIER 1.5 STEEL--4 X 13.....

German drumming legend-Achim Faerber (Eisbrecher, Project Pitchfork, Prag, Automat, Peter Heppner) recently received #1 of the Beier 1.5 Steel--4 x 13. This drum has been in the works for some time, and will be offered shortly from here.

His main is a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14, and he also uses a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 as well. He is currently on tour with one of the biggest bands in Industrial Rock...Eisbrecher.

He also did some great sound samples, and those will be up on the site soon. Thanks Achim....VERY happy you have #1 of this new drum, and that your initial impression of it was excellent. TBC!

SCOTLANDS SAM LUMSDEN-STEVE GADDS TRACK-PAUL SIMON COVER-1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14....

My pal Sam Lumsden, from First Class Drums in Scotland, recently did a cover in video of Paul Simon's "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover". I have always followed Sam's studio, live, and instructional work. He is, quite literally, one of the most talented and diverse drummers in the UK.

This one was a clip we had to discuss, as many drummers have. As well, this is one of those songs with a drum track that is sometimes assumed is relatively easy due to it's repetitiveness. It is exactly the opposite, and mentioned that to Sam. He had reviewed Steve Gadd's explanation of it before doing this as well.

From my standpoint, it is one of those tracks that you have to think about, but if you do too much....You are doomed. I have always found this difficult to play. He agreed. It is just one of those definitive musical & rhythmic tracks you have to fall into and be relaxed. As always with anything Sam does....He completely and perfectly nailed this.

Thanks Sam as always for using your 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 on this as always! Amazing job....

The first video from Volume I is an animated video entitled "Roses Again." It features Ken Stringfellow (REM, The Posies) producing, and playing on most of the instruments, & Mike was on drums. He had his main of many years with him....Beier 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14. He also has a 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 for live and studio work.

JARRED POPE-LIVE WITH TOM KEIFER AND DAMON JOHNSON-JEFF BROWN...ELIZABETH WIEL...BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14 & 4 X 15...

In recent month's, I have had the great opportunity to see Jarred Pope live four times. Three times with the Tom Keifer Band, and once with another legend, and great guy....Damon Johnson. I was so happy to see all of the dates pop up, and would not have missed them for anything.

I met Jarred several years ago through one of my best friends and supporters-Randy Walker of Media 22 Productions. Randy is a highly accomplished drummer, and producer based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Since that time...Jarred has used a variety of my drums live, and in the studio including a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14, 6.5 x 14, 6.5 x 15, and 4 x 15. Right now he is using a 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 and 5.5 x 14 exclusively on tour with Tom Keifer, and used the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 for an upcoming release from Damon Johnson. (Please see the link below to pre-order the record from PledgeMusic). He used the 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 on the Damon Johnson's live record Birmingham Tonight, that is a record I cherish.

On tour, Jarred's tech has been Jeff Brown. Jeff is a highly respected Nashville ace who has played with a countless number of acts, and is one of the greatest guy's out there on the scene. His input and opinions, like Jarred's, have been extremely valued here. I always ask Jarred when a date is approaching if Jeff is going to be with him and not playing. Always super happy to hear is going to be there!

With me for these shows, and always...is my girl Elizabeth Wiel. She is an amazing woman, is the smartest girl I know, is a top-tier designer in her job, is someone I consult for an opinion and viewpoint frequently, and is also a huge and extremely knowledgeable music fan. She has absolutely loved the shows with the Tom Keifer Band, and loves these two guy's as well. We have had an incredibly great time at dinners, sound checks, after-show get together hangs, etc..,

Tom Keifer has been a star for a long time, and this band, as big as they are even now, are only going to become huge. They get rave reviews, the band is completely off-the-hook, and all of them are super nice people as well. They keep a really lively tour schedule, and it is a show that you simply must see if you have not. Thank You as well Tom for taking time out to chat. I have heard for years what an incredibly nice guy you are, and you certainly are just that.

Thank You Jarred Pope & Jeff Brown for everything. No Doubt!.....We will be seeing you soon, and Elizabeth and I are looking forward to that already.....

MICHAEL O'TOOLE & STEVE MARKOWSKI OF SHAMROCK-BEIER DRUMS-THE OUTLAWS VIDEO...

Michael O'Toole and Steve Markowski of the Connecticut based band Shamrock, have always been incredibly supportive, and are a very active band. Steve plays a 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 as his main, and has for the last several years. Michael O'Toole has always provided great feedback on the drum as well, and sent me the poster he did below. Thanks for this Michael!

Please do see the links below of clips from Steve of Shamrock live, and one clip of The Outlaws which they both are huge fans of. Monte Yoho, long time friend and supporter, has used a 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 live with a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 as an auxiliary. Steve heard the drums live, spoke with Monte about it, and subsequently picked up a drum several years ago.

Thank You Steve & Michael for everything. Looking forward as always to staying in touch....

SEAN PADDOCK LIVE-KENNY CHESNEY-TRIP AROUND THE SUN TOUR-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 12...

For the second time around, I was lucky enough to be a guest of Sean Paddock on Kenny Chesney's Trip Around The Sun Tour, the first time was the Spread The Love Tour in 2016. These shows were both in Miller Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

On both of these tours, Sean had his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 12 as part of his touring kit. This band and show are arguably one of the greatest to ever hit the road, and is also one of the longest running. Sean is a Nashville legend, a massive talent,  is incredibly knowledgeable, and is someone who has been a great friend to me.

Thanks Again Sean for having Elizabeth and I out for the show, and for your support. Congratulations as always on all of your success!
