DAMAGED GOODS 2024 LIVE SUMMER DATES-RANDY VAUGHN-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14.....

Damaged Goods have released their live dates for 2024, and it is as always, so great to see this band so busy.

Randy was one of my first customers many years ago, and I still remember our initial conversation and what he was looking for in a snare drum. He was a long time Supra player at that point. Since receiving his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 at that time...It has been his main ever since live, and on the studio releases from Damaged Goods.

You guys have fun out there this Summer, I just wish there was a show closer so I could finally see the band live, hang, and talk Music. Randy....Thank You Again for your non-stop support for all of these years. Will look forward to all of your posts on the summer shows my friend....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ROCK LEGEND ANDY PARKER OF UFO-BEIER 1.5 STEEL SERIES.....

Wishing a very Happy Birthday to Andy Parker of UFO from Elizabeth and myself!

I have known and worked with Andy for many, many years now, she has known them for even longer, and her and I miss seeing him and the band hugely. There is so much to remember over the years. So many shows, trips, and records...It really was a magical and musical time. I was thrilled as well that images of Andy and his Beier Drums were in both of Martin Popoff' excellent books on UFO.  Her and I travelled to numerous shows including Scotland to meet up with Sam Lumsden and Thomas Nussbaum from Germany. We also were in Greece for their final show, which sadly did not take place.

Andy has used Beier Snare Drums exclusively for at least the last 15 years, and utilized them on their studio records as well. The 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 was his long time main for his European kit, the 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 for his US kit. That drum was one of the very first 6.5 x 14 drums I produced. In later years he chose the 1.5 Steel--8 x 14 for his live work in Europe, and in the US.

Her and I, along with fans worldwide, are so hoping this legendary and massively influential band will perform live again. I talk to Andy regularly, and we keep updated on all of the side projects with the band members. I was an enormous fan of UFO as a kid, and used to practice playing to their records. Andy was one of my drum heroes. I saw them in 1976 for the first time, and over 40 years later I would show him the ticket. He remembered the show, and I am quite sure as I remember that was their first time in the US. To be sitting here decades later writing all of this is one of those unbelievable boomerangs in life. It really takes me back.

Happy Birthday my friend...We both hope to see you sometime somewhere soon!

JIM THIEDE-LIVE WITH BERNADETTE KATHYRN AND THE LONELY DAYS BAND-BEIER 1.5 STEEL SERIES-BEIER ANNIVERSARY DRUM-1.5 STEEL--4.75 X 15-#2.....

Bernadette Kathyrn & The Lonely Days Band have started what is always is a long list of dates on the road for their packed live schedule. Behind the kit for this mega talented band is a long time supporter and friend...Jim Thiede.

Jim has been amazing to work with for years now, and he was one of the players who patiently waited for the release of the Beier 1.5 Steel Anniversary Drum. I set aside #2 for him, and it is his live main now. He has also performed live with his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14, 5.5 x 15, 6.5 x 13, and 5.5 x 12 which is always along on his road kit as an auxiliary. His son, Shane Thiede, has also performed live and recorded with the 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 13.

I am in the process of adding numerous videos on the site, and have quite a backlog. The new video player will feature a great video of Jim and his Beier Snares.

Thank You Again my friend. I will look forward to all of the posts on the upcoming tour, and cannot tell you how much I have appreciated everything over the years. TBC! Talk to you soon.....

SCOTT THOMPSON-LIVE ON TOUR WITH PURE PRAIRIE LEAGUE-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14......

Scott Thompson (Pure Prairie League, Collin Raye) is out on the road with Pure Prairie League currently. I was so happy to hear he selected his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 for these shows.

I heard from Scott years ago after he had picked up two of my drums. One of those was the drum he currently has out, and he also picked up a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 at that time. He also has a 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 and 5.5 x 15. The 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 has most often been his main for the band, but he has used all of them live as his main for many years now.

This band is timeless, and is utterly amazing live. I have seen them many times over the years. I am really looking forward to sitting down with Scott to do a demo of the Anniversary Drum, I would so value his vibe on the drum. Thank You Scott for all of the years of support...Hoping to see you soon....

DANNY THOMPSON LIVE-ALAN PARSONS 75TH BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE CONCERT-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14.....

Industry great-Danny Thompson (Alan Parsons, Scott Weiland), recently performed live at one of the most legendary figures in the music industry ever-Alan Parsons. It was a star- studded 75th Birthday Tribute Concert, and Danny had along one of his long time mains...1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14.

Danny is Alan Parsons long time live and studio drummer, and I have had the honor along with Elizabeth of seeing him live many times. It is surreal experiencing how great this band is, and I have lost count how many times I have read that in reviews of these shows. Danny has performed live with the band with his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 13 & 4 x 15 as well, and utilized his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 on The Secret, and From The New World. That is unforgettable to me, and always will be.

Thank You Danny for everything over the years. Great to see that this band is heading back out on the road. This business, now more than ever, needs to experience what Music was intended to be....
