CHICAGO'S FUNK BROTHERZ-LIVE DATES-MIKE HANSEN-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14....

The Funk Brotherz out of Chicago have a string of live dates coming up that run through this October...

Mike Hansen (Hurricane, Steve Vai, Pointer Sisters, Paula Abdul, Paul Gilbert, Dug Pinnick) is is just coming out of a hugely successful festival at M3 where he performed live with Hurricane. He has selected his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 for these shows with the Funk Brotherz, and mentioned to me the drum is perfect for the music that they do. 

Mike has also used his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 extensively over the years in countless live performances, and for numerous records, including Dug Pinnick's Tribute To Jimi.

NEW SINGLE FROM KAITLYN BRISTOWE-GOOD FOR SOMEBODY-JARAN SORENSON OF THE OUTLAWS & BLACKHAWK-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--4 X 15...

Nashville great, Jaran Sorenson, is back on the road with The Outlaws & Blackhawk, and is always busy in the studio. 

He recently recorded a new single with Kaitlyn Bristowe-Good For Somebody. Jaran used one of his mains of the last three years on this recording...1.5 Steel--4 x 15. He also uses a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 live on the road as a main, and in the studio.

THE ARTIMUS PYLE BAND-BACK ON THE ROAD-ARTIMUS PYLE-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14.....

The Artimus Pyle Band is back out on the road live, and this is a band that will completely, and absolutely take you back when you see them. It is a classic Talent Crammed Band, that is so great...You will never forget them.

Lynyrd Skynyrd legend, Artimus Pyle, once again has his main of many years out on the road with him...Beier 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14. I met him through another Southern Rock legend...Monte Yoho of The Outlaws. I spoke with Artimus yesterday, and we always keep in touch. He is someone who has always gone out of his way for me, and treated me with complete kindness. He work behind his kit is as strong today, as it was in the beginning for him.

Steve Cole just released his new record...Smoke + Mirrors. I have been awaiting this release, and I am listening to it this morning. Virtually anything from him is Musical Mastery, and this record is no different of course as I listen. 

I have the huge honor of having my 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 on this record. Special Thanks to my long time friend, someone who is always there for me, and one of the greatest drummers in the world...Todd Sucherman. He selected this drum for this song, and it is featured on Track 14-Justice. Pic below is the session pic.

MEAGAN HOPE-PREDATOR/PREY-NEW SINGLE-MIKE COLLINS-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14.....

Meagan Hope has released a new single....Predator/Prey. This is her second single in recent months, and a full album is forthcoming. 

As I have mentioned, her voice is unbelievably unique, and it is very reminiscent of the 60's/70's. Immediately I thought of Grace Slick during that time. But Meagan's way of singing, and her music, and truly unique. 

One of the most respected and sought after Musicians in the Northwest US, Mike Collins (Metts, Ryan & Collins, Earl Slick, Dilana, Ken Stringfellow,Throwback Suburbia) played drums on this one as well, and also on the first release. He was using his long time main-Beier 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14. Mike also produces and plays on all of the records from his star-studded collaborative project-Rooftop Screamers.

MEL WATTS-LIVE ON THE ROAD WITH LITTLE TEXAS-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--7.5 X 15.....

Long time friend, and industry great...Mel Watts (BJ Thomas, Little River Band) is currently on tour with his brand new Beier 1.5 Steel--7.5 x 15 with Little Texas. 

There will be more news from him on this drum, but his initial reaction has been phenomenal. He has used a 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 for years live with BJ Thomas, and in the studio for a number of records he recorded. I have always stayed in touch with him, he is a Musician from A-Z, and is an amazing & legendary talent.

I will be following back with news from the tour after he has had time to fully assess the drum. I truly wish this tour was going to be close here...I would love to see one of their shows. Little Texas is a band I have seen live, and absolutely love. I have also had the privilege of seeing two of my other drums used live (1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 & 4 x 15) with the band with another industry legend...Del Grey.

THE DOUG OSBORN COLLECTION-BEIER DRUMS-1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 12...5.5 X 14...4 X 15.......

Doug Osborn was an early supporter of Beier Drums, and has always remained so throughout the years. He contacted me early on, and we had great conversations about drumming, and he was, and still is, very interested in what I was trying to create Musically.

He currently owns three drums from here....A 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 12, 5.5 x 14, & 4 x 15. They are a part of his kit, and have been since Day 1. That means a lot to me, and Doug...Like so many....Is someone I will always be in touch with.

LONG ISLAND-NEW YORK-JAY CURRY-#1 OF THE BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 15 IN BLACK NICKEL....

 I recently had the privilege of dealing with drummer Jay Curry out of Long Island, New York....

A short time ago, he picked up a very unique 1.5 Steel--7.5 x 15 in Gloss White I had made years ago with different lugs, and I was really happy to hear from him. He then mentioned that he wanted another 15" drum from here. We talked about that, and I ended up making him a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15. It was #1 in Black Nickel. The drum turned out beautiful, and as you can see by his comments below...He is extremely happy to own it, and I could not be happier that drum is with him.

Jay is also the owner of the renowned training center-Blue Collar Barbell on Long Island. At the center as well, he provides practice space for drummers to support the community of & for them. 

Thank You Jay Curry...You were The Best to deal with, and your comment meant a lot to me my friend. I will look forward to staying in touch with you...Always....
