VIDEO-THE OUTLAWS-MONTE YOHO-BEIER 1.5 STEEL SNARE--6.5 X 14....

Have posted an excellent set of clips from The Outlaws show last month. Check out the links below. Once again, The Outlaws have proven themselves to be one of the greatest bands in Southern Rock history. It has been an incredible privilege for me to work with Monte Yoho, and to deal with all of The Outlaws. Monte is using his go-to live snare...The Beier 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14.

SOUTHERN ROCK REUNION-MONTE YOHO OF THE OUTLAWS-ARTIMUS PYLE

Had the great pleasure of attending the Southern Rock Reunion on August 4th in Elgin, Illinois. The line-up was a great one: The Outlaws-Artumus Pyle-Molly Hatchett-The Marshall Tucker Band. I got to see my friend, and long-time supporter of Beier Drums-Monte Yoho....finally! It had been some time. As always, The Outlaws were in spectacular form, and were simply incredible. It was also great to introduce Artimus Pyle to Beier Drums, and watch him work his way through all of the classic Lynyrd Skynyrd songs that his band plays. Monte was using his mainstay go-to snare-The Beier 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 live, with his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 as an auxiliary. Thanks Again to Monte & all of The Outlaws, Artimus Pyle, and Ron Onesti who is the owner of Onesti Entertainment, The Arcada Theater, and a person who is arguably one of the best concert promoters in this country...

SIMON WRIGHT-GEOFF TATE'S QUEENSRYCHE-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14

Simon Wright, simply put, is one of the greatest rock drummers of our time. Currently with Hellion & Geoff Tate's Queensryche, he is as much of a powerhouse as he has ever been. His solo on the Beier 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 is a must see and listen-Link below for You Tube. Please do see him on the final leg of Geoff Tate's Queensryche Tour in July & August, and on an upcoming Tour in October with Hellion. Thank You Simon!

FRANKIE BANALI-QUIET RIOT-BANG YOUR HEAD TOUR-1.5 STEEL SNARE--5.5 X 15

Have seen Frankie quite a bit in the last couple of months, and it was great to see him again when the Bang Your Head Tour rolled through Illinois. Frankie did a demo of the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 for me and after sound check, decided to use it for the show. It was uncoated, and outfitted with a Remo 15" CS Ambassador Black Dot & Hazy. Interesting experiment because Frankie primarily plays 6.5 depth snares live. The results...Were great. Will have live samples of the drum from the show and sound check on my site late Summer, and will post. Huge sound from this drum from one of The Masters. Thanks once again Frankie.

PAT McDONALD SOLO-CHARLIE DANIELS BAND-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14

Pat McDonald of The Charlie Daniels Band received  his Beier 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 this last weekend, and used it live that night. Pat is one of the all-time great players, and really gave it a run through. Got a great response from him on the drum, the band, and was delighted to hear it. Pat will have this drum on tour along with his Beier 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14. Thanks Pat as well for all of your dialogue on drums....Your insights are always incredible.

ELLIOTT PAULIN-BEIER 1.5 STEEL SNARE--5.5 X 14~

Elliott dropped me a line recently to let me know that his Beier 1.5 Steel Snare--5.5 x 14 is his go-to snare now. Needless to say, this was wonderful to hear here. He has toured or recorded with Dustin Lynch, Jared Ashley, Suzi Orevic, Clay Underwood, Brittany Aultman, Brandi Thorton, Anthony Orio, Chasin Mason & Andy Griggs. Currently he is working with Milwaukee based Rebel Grace, which hands down is one the best bands I have seen in the region. Thanks Again Elliott....

UPDATE-FRANKIE BANALI-QUIET RIOT-THE SABAN THEATER-BEIER 1.5 STEEL SNARE--6.5 X 15

Many Thanks Frankie for shooting these pics at the Quiet Riot show Friday, July 11th, at The Saban Theater in Beverly Hills. Frankie chose an exceedingly rare 1978 Ludwig Black & White Vistalite Kit for the show. He knows of only one other kit in this exact color & pattern in these sizes. That kit belonged to John Bonham. Instead of using his 1978 Ludwig 402 Snare...He chose the Beier 1.5 Steel Snare--6.5 x 15. Needless to say, this is one of the greatest compliments Beier Drums has ever received. A clip and sound sample of Frankie playing the 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 15 will be posted by the end of the month. Will update this story. Thank You Again Frankie...

PAT McDONALD-CHARLIE DANIELS BAND-INTERVIEW WITH DRUMMERS LIVE~

Pat McDonald of the Charlie Daniels band recently did an interview with Derek Wolfford for his podcast-"Drummers Live!". It is a really long & in depth interview. Take the time to listen. I listened in the office this morning while catching up on some things. Excellent insight and advice on the music business, Nashville, playing, proper conduct and behavior, and life in general from one of the finest drummers & people in music. Thanks Pat for including pics of your Beier 1.5 Steel Snare--5.5 x 14. I am always thrilled you have it on the road with you, and it is your go-to live snare. See you in a couple of weeks..

MICHAEL FOSTER OF FIREHOUSE TRIES OUT ONE OF THE BEIER STEEL DRUMS...

Shout out to Michael Foster for sending me this pic of his kit with the Beier 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14, & for being gracious enough to sit down with the drum. I have known Michael for quite some time, and was delighted he took the time out. He is an amazing & thunderous player....All with a fine touch. Thanks Again for dinner...It was great seeing you guys again. Firehouse has long been considered one of the great bands in Rock...And you guy's still are. Thank You....

FRANKIE BANALI SITS DOWN WITH THE BEIER 1.5 STEEL SNARE--6.5 X 15....

Very much appreciated Frankie Banali of Quiet Riot sitting down with the Beier 1.5 Steel Snare--6.5 x 15 recently. He will be bringing it out live for the first time Friday, July 11th, on the Bang Your Head Tour at The Saban Theater in Beverly Hills. Frankie is a superbly skilled & consummate pro behind a kit, a drum historian & collector, animal activist, straight-talker, and a very kind & worldly being. Thank You Frankie...

ACHIM FAERBER-PRAG CONCERT-BERLIN-JULY 3-BEIER 1.5 STEEL SNARE--5.5 X 15

Prag's live show with the Babelsberg Orchestra in Berlin July 3rd was a huge success. I was not able to attend this, and was very sorry to miss it. Achim Faerber (Eisbrecher Project Pitchfork, Prag, Automat) was using the Beier 1.5 Steel Snare--5.5 x 15 for the show. Achim exclusively uses the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 or 5.5 x 15 with Prag-Live or in the studio. Please see Prag's website below or the second link for the televised schedule of this show on July 23rd.
