DAVID NORTHRUP CLINIC AT POCKET PERCUSSION-DRUM CLASS WITH MICHAEL CZIMBACK'S DRUM FORT-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 12 & MICHAEL'S 1.5 STEEL ANNIVERSARY DRUM--4.75 X 15-#5......

Industry leading Michael Czimback of The Drum Fort, along with Pocket Percussion, recently sponsored a drum clinic with drumming legend David Northrup (Joe Nichols, Boz Scaggs, Rick Derringer, Oak Ridge Boys, Wynonna, Travis Tritt). 

David had along his Beier 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 12 which he has used as part of his kit for many, many years. He was the one who originally encouraged me to finally finish the one I had started here, I had just left it on the shelf. Not really being an auxiliary player myself, it just took a low priority many years ago. As well, David has used a variety of his drums from here as his main snare for live performance, primarily with his years with the Oak Ridge Boys, and for clinics. 

Michael Czimback (The Drum Fort, Bonehead) brought along his Beier 1.5 Steel Anniversary Drum--4.75 x 15-#5 which was awesome, and so appreciated here. It was great to hear David's thoughts on this drum, I have really wanted to sit down with him and get his take on it. Michael uses the drum non-stop in his studio, and for liver performances.
