The Oak Ridge Boys will continue their American Made Farewell Tour into 2025, and behind the kit for many years now is one of Nashville's finest: Austin Curcuruto.
I have known Austin for years, and was introduced to him by one of the industries all-time great legends: David Northrup. David picked up a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 from here years ago for Austin, and he used that drum on Rex Wiseman's album-Just Love Her. He sent me pics from the session, and I awaited the release as always. Subsequently, Austin and Rex both gave me copies of the album at a show, and that is something I will never forget.
Austin currently has his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 out on the road, and I was simply thrilled to hear that. I have had the privilege of seeing him live with the Oak Ridge Boys twice. He is an amazing Musician, and he is also and easily one of the all-time greatest guy's in this business. I wish I saw him more often, the last time was in Lake Geneva with Elizabeth, and it just was an incredible day and night.
Thank You my friend for everything...I so hope to see you sometime in the near future....
