For the Alan Parsons-Reset And Power Back On Tour 2024, Danny once again selected his Beier 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 for this tour. This drum has been his main for live and recorded performance for almost a decade now. He has also used his 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 & 6.5 x 13 live. 

That drum as well was the drum used on Alan Parsons-The Secret, and From The New World. These records are Musical treasures, as all records are. Simply unforgettable...And this will always be an incredible honor.

TIM QUALLS OF SAMSUN CYMBALS-LIVE WITH HIS BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 15.....

Samsun Cymbals, Tim Qualls, is incredibly on the go these days....

Tim picked up one of the last of the 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 15 NOS shells that was available, and he absolutely loves it. He keeps a full schedule of live playing, and also is one of the main reps for Samsun Cymbals. I was particularly excited for Tim to have this drum with his discerning ears & skills.

SPECIAL EDITION 14" DRUM FROM BEIER DRUMS-TO BE RELEASED WINTER 2025......

Beier Drums will be releasing a Special Edition Drum in Winter 2025. This drum has been planned for quite some time, and I am really looking forward to offering it.

When the Original 1.5 Steel Series was retired in June 2021, my intention was three-fold:

1. Issue a 15" Anniversary Drum. That of course is out, and will be offered indefinitely. The feedback from players has been incredible, and that drum is everything I wanted it to be for players.

2. Issue a 14" Special Edition. This drum will also be offered indefinitely. 

3. Offer these two drums solely. On occasion a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 will be offered, I have a number of shells that I made that are still in stock. That was the first drum produced here, it was incredibly popular, and I made extra shells.

I have had a lot of questions about the Special Edition Drum, and I will say this at the moment. It will be in Gloss White, and I will include several Anniversary Drums in the run at times that will also be in Gloss White. I rarely did one-offs during the years, but I did this size as a request many years ago. I never forgot the sound of that drum, and decided this would be the choice for this issue.

That drum is currently owned by a multi/mega-talented engineer, producer, & drummer. He also happens to be an utterly incredible fine artist, a good friend, and one of the greatest guys going.

RODNEY BOOTH-LIVE WITH THE RYDIN DURTY BAND-TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA-NEW YEARS EVE-2025-BEIER 1.5 STEEL-- 8 X 14......

Rodney Booth (RSB Percussion, Rydin Durty Band) was out live with the Rydin Durty Band last night at Scooter's Loungs, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. 

He picked up the last of the 1.5 Steel--8 x 14 that I had here to make way for the Anniversary Drum, and the upcoming Special Edition. The players that have this drum have used them for years, and not one of them have stopped using theirs. I stay in close touch with Rodney, and from the initial feedback from him, I am really hoping this drum will be his main permanently.

JAZZ LEGEND RON OTIS-KEM-ARETHA FRANKLIN-EARL KLUGH-SOLO CD STAY IN YOUR LANE-BEIER 1.5 STEEL SERIES....

I recently touched base to follow up up on some records with one of the greatest talents in this industry, a class guy from A-Z, and one of The Definitive Pro's.....Ron Otis (KEM, Aretha Franklin, Earl Klugh). 

I heard from Ron many years ago after he inquired about the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14. That drum, along with his 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 & 5.5 x 15, were used on numerous records and tours. I have always been so thrilled about that. Any time any Musician selects your instrument for their work....That is the supreme compliment...Without verbalizing it. 

I am a massive KEM fan, and the fact that my drums are on his records will forever be special to me. Another one of the definitive moments through the years for me as well is his solo record: Stay In Your Lane. All records are special, but this one is a big stand out to me. This record is Magical. Every single Musician on this record is incredible, the arrangements/composition are incredible, the Musicianship is beyond belief. I refer back to this record often, and like any Artistic work of this magnitude...There is something new you hear every single time.
