FIREHOUSE-LIVE AT CORBIN ARENA-SPRING 2021-MICHAEL FOSTER-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14......

Rock legends, Firehouse, have been out doing a series of live dates which have been met with huge approval. For one of the recent shows, they teamed up with Winger and The Bullet Boys at Corbin Arena.   

The band is starting their 30th Anniversary Tour, and they are at the top of their game as always. Michael Foster had his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 out for the shows which is always a huge honor. Michael is one of Rock's most respected and admired drummers, and has been since the beginning.

DETROIT'S SHANE THIEDE RELEASES NEW SINGLE-SETUP-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 13......

Detroit's Shane Thiede just released a fantastic new single-Setup. I was honored he chose his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 13 for the production. It is a really great song, and it is available on all major platforms. As well, he recently re-mixed his EP-All Of This (Expanded Version) which is excellent , and is also available now.

Shane also mentioned there will be upcoming work with a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 which is Jim Thiede's (Bernadette Kathyrn & The Lonely Days Band). Jim recently debuted that drum live. I will be posting a clip and spot in the Latest News from that show. It went over incredibly well with him, the band, and the FOH.

MASTERCLASS DRUM CLINIC WITH NASHVILLE LEGEND DAVID NORTHRUP-DRUMMER SUPERSTORE-CLARKSVILLE, INDIANA-SATURDAY-MARCH 20TH-2021....

Nashville legend, David Northrup (Boz Scaggs, Rick Derringer, Oak Ridge Boys, Travis Tritt, Wynonna) is putting on a Masterclass Drum Clinic today that is being hosted by the Drummer Superstore in Clarksville, Indiana. 

Wanted to send out a salute to David for including his Beier 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 12 in his kit for the clinic. This was a drum the exists because of him. I had made the shell, and it sat on the floor in the corner of my shop for several years. Upon discussing that with him after he mentioned how I should make a 12" auxiliary drum....I finished it. The drum has gone on to be extremely popular, and has been used widely in the industry. It was also included on his acclaimed record...Shapes, on All Blues. 

The live pic of him below with the Oak Ridge Boys is the show we discussed this, and the image of the rusted shell is the one that sat on my shop floor. That is also the exact one David received, and has used non-stop on a wide variety of projects.ever since. 

I truly wish I could have attended this, I have always wanted to see one of his clinics. I have had the honor of seeing him live many times, but someday I simply have to attend one of his clinics. Thank You Again David Northrup....For Everything....

KASEY TODD-LIVE WITH AARON GOODVIN IN FLORIDA-2021....BEIER 1.5 STEEL--4 X 15.....

Kasey Todd (Aaron Goodvin, Jace Everett, Tonic) recently was out for some live dates in Florida with Aaron Goodvin. 

He had along one of his mains, his Beier 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 which he has used extensively live, and also in the studio. Kasey also has a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 13 that has seen extensive use. His 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 13 he used on a live broadcast for the 2019 Draft with Patrick Thomas-CBS Sports HQ from the Dawg House Saloon in 2019. He mentioned something to me about that drum which I will never forget, and have mentioned frequently to drummers, and in podcasts when discussing this drum. He said to me he never thought he would travel with a 13" snare...But this one he does. It was one of those musical compliments that will never be forgotten.

It was, of course, so great to see these guys out live. It is an amazing band, and the time is coming when audiences will be able to hear them again. Please do check out the latest release from Aaron Goodvin....Every Time You Take Your Time. GREAT song, as would be expected from this artist.

EDDIE BAYERS IN BLACKBIRD STUDIOS-RECORDING FOR NEW RELEASE FROM MARTINA MCBRIDE-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14.....

One of the world's most recorded drummers, Eddie Bayers, has been working in Blackbird Studios recording for an upcoming release from Martina McBride. 

Eddie had along a drum he has used a great deal....Beier 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14. That drum, along with his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14, 4 x 15 & 6.5 x 13 have been used on numerous records and movie soundtracks including Kenny Chesney's hit song Get Along (And other songs from Songs For The Saints), & Garth Brooks All Day Long from his upcoming release.His 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 13 is #1 of 1 in Black Nickel as well. That drum can be heard on the soundtrack for Patsy & Loretta.

I will really look forward to picking up this release I have always been a big fan of Martina McBride, and this is really exciting. Thank You Eddie.....

Easton Corbin has started doing live dates, and him and the band recently had a run of shows in Florida.

This band is one of my long time favorites live, and Nashville great, Gregg Lohmann, had along his main with the band...Beier 1.5 Steel--4 x 15. It has always been an honor to see Gregg select this drum for live work, and it always will be. 

Live dates will continue to be scheduled for bands in this industry. Speaking for myself, Elizabeth, and literally everyone else....That will be most welcome.

ANDRES SILVA FELIPE GOMEZ-NEW RELEASE FROM LA SHOLA STUDIOS-SANTIAGO, CHILE-DELISSE-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--4 X 15.......

Drummer, Musician, Producer...Chilean great Andres Silva Felipe Gomez recently played on and produced another great record that was just released-Delisse-Esencial. He used his main on this...1.5 Steel--4 x 15. 

Andres is recently settled in Nashville, and he is keeping a non-stop schedule of sessions. He has used the 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 on numerous records, and live performances, including national television on TVN in Chile.

I recently spoke to him over the phone, and I am hoping to meet up with him in Nashville soon. Will have some updated news shortly on this incredible musician soon. Thank You my friend.....

MIKE HANSEN-IN THE STUDIO RECORDING FOR THE NEW HURRICANE RELEASE-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14.....

Mike Hansen (Hurricane, Paula Abdul, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, George Lynch, Bruce Bouillet, Dug Pinnick, Greg Marra, Pointer Sisters) has been in session recording for the new forthcoming release from Hurricane. There is a single that will be released that is part of this record, and it is something really special as well. 

Mike is using his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 for this record, and he has also used this drum live on many occasions. One of his long time mains....1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15, and his work with that drum, has produced some of the most incredible sounds to date with that drum. It was used extensively live by Mike, in clinics, and on a number of records including the critically acclaimed Tribute To Jimi-Dug Pinnick.

THE HANDCUFFS RELEASE NEW SINGLE FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM-LOVE ME WHILE YOU CAN-BRAD ELVIS-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14.....

Chicago based drumming legend Brad Elvis (The Handcuffs, The Romantics, The Elvis Brothers, Screams) and Chloe Orwell (The Handcuffs) have released the first single off their forthcoming fourth album on Color Red Music Label-Love Me While You Can. It is available on all platforms, and there is a link below for the accompanying video to the song. 

Brad used one of his four snare drums from Beier Drums here....1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14-Gloss White on this particular track. The other three he has are a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14, 5.5 x 15, & one of the few 2mm Copper--5 x 14 which were produced here in the beginning. The drums have seen a lot of use live with The Handcuffs, and with The Romantics in shows in Chicago, and surrounding areas. 

I saw this band years ago, and have always absolutely loved their music. Before live shows were stopped, Elizabeth and I got to see them live twice in Chicago in one Summer...That was something special, and they were two of my favorite shows of the year. 

Really anticipating the release of this album, and the single that was released, which I had heard live previously, is representative of everything this band does...Incredible. Thank You Brad Elvis....Congratulations to you & Chloe Orwell. See you soon....!
