On June 10th, Sham Rock performed at Southern Connecticut University for the Connecticut Special Olympic Games. Steve Markowski had along his main, the 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14.
That drum has seen non-stop action since Steve picked one up from Fork's Drum Closet in Nashville. His introduction to that drum was through Monte Yoho of The Outlaws. Monte has used that same drum for years now as his primary touring & recording drum. I hear from Steve frequently, and it is always fun to hear what he and the band are up to.
Michael O'Toole of the band has also been ultra-supportive of Beier Drums, mentioning me in posts, at the Connecticut Drum Show, posting pics, etc.., Huge Thank You as well to Ken Combs Photography for taking all of these images which are great, & allowing use of all of them in this post.
This band is actively involved in benefits which is something I really admire. I worked at one time with elderly people, and mentally/physically disabled people, and initiated an Animal Therapy Program at one institution. It is a type of work that every person should experience....Even if it is for a weekend. They band recently played as well Camp Courant which benefits kid's, and help's them go to camp when their parent's cannot afford it.
Thanks as always Steve for using one of my drums, and Thanks Again to Michael O'Toole & Ken Combs Photography.....
