Achim Faerber, one of Europe's premier talents, has been extremely busy as always, & has a number of new releases with him behind the kit this month. Prag, one of Germany's top acts, has just released their new album on 1/16: "Kein Abschied". Achim used the Beier 1.5 Steel on this entire record, and also uses a variety of sizes in the 1.5 Steel Series live with Prag-Exclusively. Guy Sternberg of LowSwing Studio produced, recorded, and mixed the entire record. Industrial metal titans Eisbrecher will also be releasing their latest on January 23rd: "Schock". Achim has used several sizes of the 1.5 Steel Series live with them. Also the tracks for the upcoming follow up for Automat have been completed, and are in the mixing process. All of the tracks were recorded with the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14, and a 8 x 12 wooden snare as an auxiliary. They were done at one of Berlins most historic sites-Candybomber Studios. The producer, Ingo Krauss, comes from the same school of thought as the legendary engineer/producer Conny Plank, and continues this work. The release for this record is May 2015. As well, Automat will be issuing a collaboration of electronic musicians on vinyl of tracks recorded with Max Loderbauer on March 13th, 2015. Four tracks, and available in download format also. Achim is also featured on yet another release for tomorrow-Martin Dean's new record: "Dr. Blue & Mr. Gold".
Thanks as always Achim for using one of your many 1.5 Steel Series Snares live and in the studio, the album credits, & your support. Congratulations on all of your amazing work with some of the finest bands & engineers in today's music~
"When I bought the 1.5--5.5 x 14 Steel Snare, I didn't think this drum would turn out to be THE snare drum for me. Besides my 1960 Slingerland Artist in 5.5 x 14, it is my first choice in the studio, or live...." Achim Faerber
