Live music is beginning again....And let us all just hope it comes back full swing, as soon as possible. 

Jim Thiede was out live last week on his main gig with Bernadette Kathryn & The Lonely Days Band. Was great to see as always he had his main....Beier 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14. This has been his top choice for his live work since ordering one from Huber Breese Music. That came about because of Gary Keith Johnson of Canopus Drums & The Lohden Boys.

DWAIN MESSER-NEW SINGLE RELEASED FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM-PRODUCED BY NASHVILLE LEGEND MARK BECKETT-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--4 X 15...

Dwain Messer is releasing a single from his forthcoming full-length album today on all major platforms...Ease My Troubled Mind. Nashville legend, Mark Beckett (Grand Ole Opry, Olivia Newton John, Nashville Sessions), was the Producer for the record, and played drums on it.

I was really fortunate to have received a copy of this record some time ago from Dwain. I played it through numerous times, and absolutely love it. It is a very traditional & old school sounding country record....It is a story from start to finish. Add in Mark Becketts's drumming skills, and live room sounding recording technique...It is simply a record that has to be heard.

Donn Deniston (Michael Katon, Mike Gentry) has been using a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 & 6.5 x 14 live, and in the studio for quite some time now. He is involved in numerous projects, one of them being Tyler Rigdon & The Second Arrangement. They just released an outstanding new single: "I Can't Stand Your Love".(Link below)

Donn used his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 on the new single, and that drum has been his primary for the numerous releases he has recorded on, and often times his choice for live work.

Seth Rausch has used his 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 as his main for the last several years with Keith Urban. He was introduced to my gear from one of the all-time greats & Nashville based legend...Tommy Harden. Seth and Harry McCarthy have been amazing to deal with, and because of them...Elizabeth & I were guests at a show on this tour. It was truly an experience that we will never forget.

German legend, Achim Faerber (Eisbrecher, Project Pitchfork, Automat, Prag, Peter Heppner) owns #1 of the Beier 1.5 Steel--4 x 13, and he recently did some outstanding sound samples of the drum. Please see the Audio Section of this site to take a listen. Achim, as always, did an incredible job at illustrating the entire range of this drum. This drum also recently appeared on the new Automat release Modul.

I recently received a really nice surprise package with some items, they will be most useful here. I needed a new Mouse Pad, I go through a ton of note paper, and a new travel cup for Coffee/Tea will be used daily here. Perfect combination of items!

Jeremy has a 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 that he selects in the studio, and for live performances when the music calls for it. As always, it is so great to have one of my drums in the possession of a musician like him.
