The New Whiskey River Band is keeping as busy of a schedule as always....The band is constantly performing at a wide range of events and venues in upstate New York. Schedule is below, please note shows are being added all of the time....Check their web page for details. 

Bob is using his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 as his main for live performance & recording, and he has since Day 1 of receiving it. They produce some excellent videos, and will be updating this article as well with several of those. I have a backlog of media, but a drumsmith never forgets great clips with his gear, and this band is just that...GREAT~!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THEODORE BROWN....

Wanted to say Happy Birthday to a massive drum talent, my Canadian brother & pal, and someone that for everyone who knows him....They absolutely love him...Theodore Brown.

Theodore has had a decades long career in drumming and touring, with the likes of Sonny Rhodes, and recently has done several clinics in Canada. I am waiting on the video from one of them, and will update this article when it is finished. He had his main....The 1.5 Steel--8 x 15 with him for it as always, and it is something I really am excited about listening to. Currently there is another drum in the works for Theodore...That is TBC in the Latest News!

GARRETT GOODWIN-CARRIE UNDERWOOD-CRY PRETTY TOUR 360-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--7.5 X 15....

Garrett Goodwin is getting ready to head out on Carrie Underwood's Cry Pretty Tour on May 1st. Wanted to send out a huge Thank You to him today for selecting his 1.5 Steel--7.5 x 15 as one of his mains for the tour. He also has used his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14, 6.5 x 14 & 4 x 15 previously during the Storyteller Tour. His 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 is included in Carrie Underwood's The Storyteller Tour-Stories In The Round-Live From Madison Square Garden DVD, along with snare drums from DW.

This was a wonderful surprise, and I am so looking forward to seeing him live again. 

Garrett is someone who took time out for me since Day 1, is an incredible talent, a great person, has the most unique set-up in the industry!, and is the epitome of professional from A-Z.

JARRED POPE-HITTING THE ROAD WITH DAMON JOHNSON-UPRISING TOUR-2019-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--4 X 15

Nashville great, and long time pal Jarred Pope (Tom Keifer/Damon Johnson)...Is heading out on the road with the legendary Damon Johnson the beginning of May. This is in support of Damon's latest release-Memoirs Of An Uprising. Jarred used his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 on this entire record, he will have his 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 on the road with him, and I cannot wait to see them perform live. I have already, and as any musician can imagine...It is an incredible composition of talents...All on one stage.

THE OUTLAWS ON THE ROAD-CONGRATULATIONS MONTE YOHO-NEW STUDIO RECORD-JARAN SORENSON...

I spoke with Southern Rock legend Monte Yoho several days ago. Monte has been a mainstay here at Beier Drums using a 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 & 5.5 x 14 for many years now. He is also has been an incredible friend to me, and I lost count of all of the good times over the years with him and the band.

Monte has been recovering from severe back and spine troubles, and is he is hitting the road this week again with the band. It has been a tough time for him, and wanted to tell him in-print how happy I am for him. He has worked extremely hard at his recovery, and with back and spinal injuries for a drummer to perform....It compounds the difficulties even further. He will be dual-drumming with Jaran Sorenson with The Outlaws, which is something I am so excited to see live. and they also both have cut three tracks together for the upcoming studio release from The Outlaws. They both also will be playing live with Blackhawk.

Jaran will be using his 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 which has been his main since the first day he started using it, and he also is using his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 12 as an auxiliary.

MEL WATTS-ON THE ROAD WITH THE LEGENDARY BJ THOMAS-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14....

It was so great to hear from Mel Watts the other day......

He is on tour with BJ Thomas right now in Canada, and he has been behind the kit for years with him. He mentioned his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14, a drum that has been one his mains for years on the road. He commented to me, as he has many times in the past, that he is still using the snare a lot, and that "It is amazing". This is always wonderful to hear. The entire 1.5 Steel Series was designed to be a drum that players would always refer to, and use as a go-to in all situations.

Hoping 2019 will be the year I will finally get to see Mel live. Thank You as always my friend....

EDDIE BAYERS-SONY PICTURES "PATSY & LORETTA"-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 13....

Eddie Bayers is on set recording music for an upcoming film from Sony Pictures..."Patsy & Loretta". It will document the friendship between Patsy Cline & Loretta Lynn, and will be released in late 2019. 

He is using his #1 of 1-Black Nickel-Beier 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 13 for the production, and I simply could not be more excited about this than I am. The drum is special one-off made for him, and this will be the only one produced this way.

DANNY THOMPSON-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14-NEW RELEASE FROM ALAN PARSONS-THE SECRET-TO BE RELEASED APRIL 26TH-

As a lifelong fan of Alan Parsons, I am just thrilled to pieces that Danny Thompson used his Beier 1.5 Steel - - 5.5 x 14 on his new record-The Secret....To be released April 26th. Danny used the drum on all tracks except for one, Vinnie Colaiutu played on that one. This drum has been one of his main touring drums with the band for years, and he also tours and plays a 1.5 Steel--4 x 15.
