JOCHEN BAUER-HEAVEN'S A BEER-GERMANY-BEIER 1.5 STEEL SERIES.....

Long time pal, and huge supporter of Beier Drums....Jochen Bauer is a busy drummer these day's. He just landed a gig with the band Heaven's A Beer in Germany. And no doubt, he and the band are extremely happy about this.

Jochen has three snare drums from here: The 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14, 8 x 14 & 8 x 15. He uses all three at different times, and it will be interesting to see which one he chooses for live gigs, and for studio work.

SCOTT THOMPSON...PURE PRAIRIE LEAGUE 2017 TOUR....BEIER 1.5 STEEL--4 X 15 & 6.5 X 14.....

Scott Thompson has had a busy Summer on the road with Pure Prairie League, and he has had several snare drums from here along with him: The 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 & 1.5 Steel--4 x 15. Those two drums he has been using the last year, and prior to that the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 was his main. He uses all of the drums at different times, and one of them is always his primary snare.

This band is a long-time favorite of mine, and to see Scott incorporate my drums into this has been the greatest. Really looking forward to seeing them live soon.

JIM VOGT IN ALASKA....BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14....

One of my earliest customers was Jim Vogt from Alaska. He picked up a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14, and it has been his main ever since. He performs regularly around the state with his band The Thneeds, and we stay in touch and talk several times a year. I really enjoy hearing from players, and do so often.

KENNY STAHL-GREG "STIX" LANDFAIR JR.-LIVE AT LOLLAPALOOZA-CHANCE THE RAPPER-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--7.5 X 15...

Chance The Rapper headlined Lollapalooza this year, and to be expected...he was a major hit. His drummer, Greg "Stix" Landfair Jr., used his 1.5 Steel--7.5 x 15 for the show. That was a huge thrill here, and the feedback was really something I was looking forward to. 

Kenny Stahl is the stage manager for Chance The Rapper, and Alan Parsons as well. He is familiar with my gear through Danny Thompson, the drummer for Alan Parsons who has used a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 live for quite some time. Really want to send out a Thanks to him for introducing Greg to my gear.

WILLIAM DILLA'S SNARE COLLECTION-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 15 & 5.5 X 12....

A big Thank You going out to William Dilla here this morning. He recently posted some of his drum pics, and as always he included his two snare drums from Beier Drums: 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 & 5.5 x 12. Both drums have seen extensive use from him, and are among his favorites.

ANDY PARKER OF UFO-SUMMER EUROPEAN TOUR-VIDEO WITH ACHIM SCHULZE-ROBB PHILPOTTS-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--8 X 14.....

UFO have had a very busy summer in Europe with numerous shows, headlining festivals, etc.., They have always had a huge response in Europe, and that continues non-stop...

Andy Parker took his new 1.5 Steel--8 x 14 out for the first time. The drum is in Gloss White to match his Premier kit which is his kit in his overseas rig. The result was that he, and everyone involved in the show, absolutely loves this drum. He had asked me some time ago about this size, and it really has turned out to be a perfect match for what he wants. Andy also has used a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 for years with this kit.

The band will also be heading back to the U.S. in the Fall for a another tour with Saxon & Jared James Nichols. Will update the Latest News next month when it begins.

Huge Thanks going out to Robb Philpotts for all of the below pics, and your great comments on Beier Drums. Also to Andy & Achim Schulze for the video. Andy of course is one of Rock's legends, and Achim is one of the most highly respected FOH Engineers in this business, and has been for over 25 years for The Scorpions, UFO, and others.  Appreciated this you guys! DEL GRAY-LITTLE TEXAS TOUR 2017-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14 & 4 X 15....

Little Texas rolled though town several weeks ago on their tour, & I finally got to meet up with Del Gray for the first time. He picked up a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 some time ago, and has used it non-stop as his main since. 

Meeting up and talking drums with Del is like seeing an old friend and picking up where you left off. It was such a great time, this band is unreal, and they deliver in a huge kind of way live. They always did, and still do. The show is a mix of their hits and new material, and is something I am looking forward to seeing again already.

Del also just started with his 1.5 Steel--4 x 15, and will be using that on the road as well. His comments so far: "The sensitivity of this snare is second to none....". It will be great to see him live next time with this drum....

NEW UFO ALBUM SEPTEMBER 29TH-THE SALENTINO CUTS-ANDY PARKER-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14....

UFO is set to release their next studio album September 29th. It is a selection of covers that each member of the band picked from their favorites. Andy Parker used his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 on this record which has been his main for years now. He also used an earlier drum from here....The 2mm Brass 5 x 14. This will be the fourth consecutive studio album from UFO, and a Best Of A Decade release with Andy using his selection of snare drums from Beier Drums.

Two new singles from Canadian artists were just released: Adam Gregory-Dirt Road Therapy, & Justin Labrash-Front Row Seat. One of Canada's first call session and live drummers-Chad Melchert was on both of them with his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14.

ZACK STEWART-LIVE WITH JOSH THOMPSON IN WISCONSIN-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 15....

Zack Stewart was just in town again , this time it was on his main gig with Josh Thompson. This is an amazing band, and I missed them last Winter due to the weather. I was really looking forward to this show...

He had his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 15 along which is one his mains. That drum he has been using for just over a year, and also was recently in S.I.R. Nashville laying tracks with the band with it. He also has played a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 live with this band.  

Zack also just got back from Germany from a visit with Sonor. I have always been a huge fan of Sonor, and I think it would be hard to find a drummer who is not. The company is really a remarkable story, and talking to Zack about the specifics there was really, really interesting. The next time I am back in Germany....I simple have to visit them.
