BILLY IDOL'S ERIK ELDENIUS...IN THE STUDIO WITH HIS BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 15........

I was so happy to hear from one of Rock's finest recently....Erik Eldenius from Billy Idol's band and Twin Pines Recording. Erik is a drummer who has always been great to me, and it has been a bit since we talked. He was in the studio working with his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 Gloss White. He used that drum on the release from Venice-Into The Morning Blue, and I have always been very proud that he selected that drum for that record.

As well, the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 that he has is one of the few I did in that size in Gloss White. Todd Sucherman (Styx) and Jamo Van de Bogert (Gregg Allman) have one as well, and the drums have seen extensive live/studio use over the years.

I have seen Erik live with Billy, and it was one of those unforgettable shows. Billy Idol has always had great bands over the years, but his line-up now, which has been intact for a long time...Is simply his best band ever. Erik brings a swing and a power to those songs that is definitive, and Steve Stevens is beyond a legend. I stood on the side stage for the show, and also went out front for a bit. To be able to do that is always a privilege, and I will never forget that show.

I will keep the news here updated, and on a forthcoming release which I am really, really excited about. Thank You Erik...It was awesome to hear from you!

ANDRES FELIPE SILVA GOMEZ-CANVAS REBEL MAGAZINE-ON TOUR-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14........

Nashville great, Andres Felipe Silva Gomez (Savannah Rae, LaShola Studio Nashville, Sangre De Toro), is as busy as ever these days. He recently gave an interview to Canvas Rebel Magazine on his work in the industry.

I have known Andres for years, and he currently has two drums from here: A 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 and a 1.5 Steel--4 x 15. These days he is most often seen with his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14. He has used both drums on numerous records and select live performances on tour, and for television.

As always my friend, it is so wonderful to see you soar in Nashville and beyond. Thank You for the mention in the article, and for your many years of friendship and support. Will be in touch as always to follow up on sessions and live shows!

With Gregg Lohman (Easton Corbin) and his live debut Beier Anniversary Drum

EDUARDO BALDO-CLASSIC DEEP PURPLE LIVE PERFORMED BY GLENN HUGHES-ST. CHARLES, ILLINOIS-LIVE RECORD-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14....

Recorded material has always been extremely important to me over the years. I have always kept a large running log of sessions and releases. There have been times I have followed up years after when material is finally released with an Artist. Every once in a while a record pops up, and it is a huge surprise. Such was the case with this live record recently: Glenn Hughes-Arcada Thr.-St. Charles, IL-09.13.18...

Elizabeth and I had planned to go this this show, and we were both so excited about it. Eduardo Baldo (Red Devil Vortex) was on the tour for Glenn behind the kit, and was gracious enough to give my 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 a whirl. We all had dinner together before the show, talked drums, and we all had such a great time. He did an incredible job, and the show was surreal...Literally. We had a nice visit after the show, and Eduardo is a not only a great guy, but a massive talent in this industry.

I remember telling her, and him after, how much I wished the show was being recorded, I have had many moments like that over the years at shows listening,  and subsequently thinking how important it is to capture Musical moments forever. This was one of them. I had no idea it was being recorded, and lo & behold this popped up yesterday. I was thrilled to pieces that that night has a permanent record now.

As well, we had a very nice visit with Glenn after the show. I mentioned to him Frankie (Banali) uses my gear, him and Glenn had been best friends for many years. Elizabeth spent quite some time talking to him, and he could not have been nicer. I grew up being, and still am of course, a massive Deep Purple fan. This was quite a night.

Please do check this record out when you have a chance, and Thank You Again Eduardo....
