GREGG LOHMANN-EASTON CORBIN 2018 TOUR-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--4 X 15....

Wanted to send out a big Thank You today to a really highly regarded, and respected Nashville based pro.... Gregg Lohmann.

Gregg recently took out his 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 on the road with Easton Corbin. He heard the drum at a show when they were on a bill with Keith Urban. Seth Rausch has this drum on the road for the Graffiti U Tour this year as his main, and he and Harry McCarthy were great about taking time out to show him the drum.

Thanks Again Gregg...You have been amazing to deal with. It is true what everyone I know say's about you: That your an amazing drummer, and person. Really looking forward to seeing you on December 1st.....

DONN DENISTON-NEW RELEASE FROM MIKE GENTRY-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14.....

Donn Deniston recently sent me Mike Gentry's latest release, and I have to say...This record knocked me out.

I received the CD while I was just getting ready to hit the road to a show. and I played it through in the car twice. Mike is flashback to me...A sort of Coffee House/Storyteller singer with an amazingly consistent & melodic voice. His songs are thoughtful, sincere, well written, and intended to be meaningful. This type of music as well can be difficult for a drummer to follow, and Donn, being the pro that he is, played to this music perfectly.

I also wanted to tell Donn...Thank You for your dialogue on Beier Drums on your website. I just noticed it, and of course was extremely happy to read what you said. Tone....Yes, that was my primary intention in creating this line!

Congrats to both of you on an excellent record and musicianship. Very proud to have my 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 on it....

MIKE HANSEN-NEW RELEASES-LANCE LOPEZ 2018 TOUR-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 15.....

Mike Hansen (Paul Gilbert, Hurricane, Bouillet, Steve Vai, Greg Marra, George Lynch, Paula Abdul, Pointer Sisters) is heading out on the road tomorrow on tour with Lance Lopez, and I also wanted to say Thank You for his use of his main: 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 on a number of latest releases.

Mike has used a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 for quite some time now live, and in the studio. Have had a great friendship with him over the years, and he is not only an amazing drummer, he is one of the most enthusiastic & non-stop working drummers I know. Always full of ideas, energy, in the middle of numerous projects, and always is a class guy from A-Z.

He will be starting with a 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 after the first of the year, and am looking forward to his feedback, and work with this drum. See you the end of December in Chicago my friend, have a great tour, and again....Thank You For Everything....

EDDIE BAYERS-KENNY CHESNEY'S #1 SINGLE-GET A LONG...BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14....

Sending out a huge Thank You to one of the top session players of all time, one of the most highly regarded drummers ever, and all-around good guy...Eddie Bayers Jr. this morning.

Eddie recently used his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 on Kenny Chesney's smash #1 Single-Get A Long. This is one of three drums Eddie has from here, he also has and uses a 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 & 5.5 x 14.

Thank You Again Eddie. Amazing song & playing...Incredible moment for me here at Beier Drums....

JIM VOGT OF THE THNEEDS-ALASKA-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14......

Have been in touch with Jim Vogt of The Thneeds lately, and it is always fun catching up with him..

Jim was one of my early customers, and picked up a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14. That was the first drum offered from here, and that drum has gone on to be a constant mainstay in the line-up. Jim has used this drum as one of his mains for years now, and it has been used on countless live gigs. And today....He still refers back to it, and it is in full use with the band. The drums here were meant to be drums that players remembered, and referred back to. It is always wonderful to see and hear that is the case.

Thanks Again Jim Vogt for all of the years of support...It is always great to hear from you....

One of Rock's greats, Erik Eldenius (Billy Idol), was recently in the studio with Brian Ray (Paul McCartney) laying tracks for an upcoming release. He pulled out his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 for this, and of course I was delighted to see that. That drum he also used on Venice-Into The Morning Blue as well.

Thanks Again Erik for everything as always. Will look forward to hearing this when released, to staying in touch, and I really hope to see you sooner than later....

JARAN SORENSON-ON THE ROAD WITH THE OUTLAWS AND BLACKHAWK-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--4 X 15.....

Nashville ace Jaran Sorenson has been out on the road with The Outlaws & Blackhawk since this Summer, and it was great to hear he is using his 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 as a main.

I met Jaran at a Blackhawk show this Summer here in Wisconsin, and had an absolute blast with him talking drums & music. He was familiar with my gear, and had used Monte Yoho's 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 live which he also liked a great deal.

Looking forward to staying in touch Jaran....And will see you and the band very soon. Thanks Again For Everything!

DANNY BAILEY-REDBRICK RECORDING STUDIO-MATT BUBLE-NEW RELEASES-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14...

Sending out a big Thank You this morning to one of the industry's highly regarded engineers...Danny Bailey of Redbrick Studio. He recently sent me three records that he used the studio's 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 on. They all featured Matt Buble on drums, all three records were very distinct and unique, I truly enjoyed all of them, and the way he engineered them.

Danny has had his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 for quite some time, and he has used that drum on countless records. It is the studio main for almost all recordings done there, and his way of engineering is among my favorites. His records have an analog and open vibe to them, and his style of recording is tailored specifically to the type of music.

Thanks Again Danny....Looking forward to listening to all of your work coming up....

MICHAEL FOSTER-LIVE WITH FIREHOUSE-CHICAGO-27TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--8 X 14...

Had an amazing time in Chicago several weeks ago, and was really looking forward to delivering a new drum to one of Rock's legends, and one of the greatest guy's on two feet...Michael Foster of Firehouse.

The newest drum for him is a 1.5 Steel--8 x 14, and it was outfitted with Black Nickel Hardware throughout. He has also used his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 live, in the studio on Bill Leverty's solo releases, and a 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 15 live.

I have known these guys for years now, and they have a reputation for being one of Rock's best bands live, and for also being some of the greatest guy's personally. They have time for everyone, are the consummate pro's, and are true Stars.

Thanks Again Michael and all you guy's....See you soon....

MEL WATTS ON THE ROAD WITH BJ THOMAS....BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14....

I recently heard from Mel Watts, and it was great to catch up as always...

I met Mel through Nashville's Michael Grando (Joe Diffie), and he has been using a 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 in studio sessions, and on the road for years now with his main gig. That gig is with the legendary, & 5 time Grammy winner BJ Thomas.

This show utilizes a full orchestra, and is something I am hoping to see very soon. The last chance I had there was an ice storm, and driving to Chicago was not a good idea. Part of the perils of living in Wisconsin in the winter I guess. But, I must admit, I almost went for it. After all...It was a chance to sit down and talk drums with Mel, and see this amazing band live. Hopefully that will happen soon.

Thanks Again Mel for everything....
