NEW RELEASE FROM PURE PRAIRIE LEAGUE--BACK ON TRACK-SCOTT THOMPSON-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 x 14, 6.5 x 14, 4 x 15, 5.5 x 15....

Industry legends, Pure Prairie League, have released an incredible new album: Back On Track.

I have long had the honor of working with Scott Thompson for years, and I have been really excited for this release. Scott used all four of his Beier Drums on this record: 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14, 6.5 x 14, 4 x 15 & 5.5 x 15. They also have been his main for many years with his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 being the most often used live on the road.

Congratulations Scott and to the entire band on an incredible record. I just could not be more thrilled about this. Looking forward to seeing you guys this Spring. Thank You Again for all of the great times over the years my friend. TBC......!

NEW DRUMS THAT ARE OFFERED FROM THE ORIGINAL 1.5 STEEL SERIES LINE...THANK YOU COREY MARSHALL......

I recently included a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 in the last run of the Anniversary Drum. Corey Marshall (Blair's West, Gone Country) picked the drum up. He was incredibly great to deal with, and he brought up some very good questions which I told him I would address.

From time to time as I have mentioned, I will include a drum from the original line. The only two drums which I will be making steadily will be the Anniversary Drum, and the upcoming Special Edition. They will be manufactured by me here, in the exact same way that all of the drums have been produced...Since Day 1.

Corey had some questions about the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 he was picking up. Being from the original line, he inquired if the drum would be like the drums produced before. This is something I did not make clear, and I super appreciated his questions.

Al drums that will be offered from the original line are exact visual & Musical duplicates of every single drum that has ever been produced here. I use the same exact metal from the same supplier of the last 15+ years. The welding process, the tooling, the bending of the shells, and the powder coating (done by the same coater since the beginning) are the same. Literally everything in the production and the methodology are identical.

In the beginning it was my #1 Priority to create drums that could be re-created identically....Musically. Manufacturing a drum that looks exactly like another one is easy. The only reason to make an instrument, at least to me, is to replicate Sound.  If a drummer would call me up after hearing a 1.5 Steel--7.5 x 15 and want one, the one I would make and send to him would be exactly like the drum he heard, Musically, in every single way.

Over the years I have heard endless comments on my drums. Often I would hear: "I walked into this venue, and I could hear the drummer had one of your drums...." That was before visually seeing it. And that....Is the most meaningful comment I could ever hear.

Thank You Again Corey Marshall. I will be doing a spot in the Latest News on him coming up.....!
