SIMON WRIGHT-GEOFF TATE'S QUEENSRYCHE-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14

Simon Wright, simply put, is one of the greatest rock drummers of our time. Currently with Hellion & Geoff Tate's Queensryche, he is as much of a powerhouse as he has ever been. His solo on the Beier 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 is a must see and listen-Link below for You Tube. Please do see him on the final leg of Geoff Tate's Queensryche Tour in July & August, and on an upcoming Tour in October with Hellion. Thank You Simon!

FRANKIE BANALI-QUIET RIOT-BANG YOUR HEAD TOUR-1.5 STEEL SNARE--5.5 X 15

Have seen Frankie quite a bit in the last couple of months, and it was great to see him again when the Bang Your Head Tour rolled through Illinois. Frankie did a demo of the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 for me and after sound check, decided to use it for the show. It was uncoated, and outfitted with a Remo 15" CS Ambassador Black Dot & Hazy. Interesting experiment because Frankie primarily plays 6.5 depth snares live. The results...Were great. Will have live samples of the drum from the show and sound check on my site late Summer, and will post. Huge sound from this drum from one of The Masters. Thanks once again Frankie.

PAT McDONALD SOLO-CHARLIE DANIELS BAND-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14

Pat McDonald of The Charlie Daniels Band received  his Beier 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 this last weekend, and used it live that night. Pat is one of the all-time great players, and really gave it a run through. Got a great response from him on the drum, the band, and was delighted to hear it. Pat will have this drum on tour along with his Beier 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14. Thanks Pat as well for all of your dialogue on drums....Your insights are always incredible.

ELLIOTT PAULIN-BEIER 1.5 STEEL SNARE--5.5 X 14~

Elliott dropped me a line recently to let me know that his Beier 1.5 Steel Snare--5.5 x 14 is his go-to snare now. Needless to say, this was wonderful to hear here. He has toured or recorded with Dustin Lynch, Jared Ashley, Suzi Orevic, Clay Underwood, Brittany Aultman, Brandi Thorton, Anthony Orio, Chasin Mason & Andy Griggs. Currently he is working with Milwaukee based Rebel Grace, which hands down is one the best bands I have seen in the region. Thanks Again Elliott....

UPDATE-FRANKIE BANALI-QUIET RIOT-THE SABAN THEATER-BEIER 1.5 STEEL SNARE--6.5 X 15

Many Thanks Frankie for shooting these pics at the Quiet Riot show Friday, July 11th, at The Saban Theater in Beverly Hills. Frankie chose an exceedingly rare 1978 Ludwig Black & White Vistalite Kit for the show. He knows of only one other kit in this exact color & pattern in these sizes. That kit belonged to John Bonham. Instead of using his 1978 Ludwig 402 Snare...He chose the Beier 1.5 Steel Snare--6.5 x 15. Needless to say, this is one of the greatest compliments Beier Drums has ever received. A clip and sound sample of Frankie playing the 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 15 will be posted by the end of the month. Will update this story. Thank You Again Frankie...

PAT McDONALD-CHARLIE DANIELS BAND-INTERVIEW WITH DRUMMERS LIVE~

Pat McDonald of the Charlie Daniels band recently did an interview with Derek Wolfford for his podcast-"Drummers Live!". It is a really long & in depth interview. Take the time to listen. I listened in the office this morning while catching up on some things. Excellent insight and advice on the music business, Nashville, playing, proper conduct and behavior, and life in general from one of the finest drummers & people in music. Thanks Pat for including pics of your Beier 1.5 Steel Snare--5.5 x 14. I am always thrilled you have it on the road with you, and it is your go-to live snare. See you in a couple of weeks..

He will be bringing it out live for the first time Friday, July 11th, on the Bang Your Head Tour at The Saban Theater in Beverly Hills. GUY STERNBERG-LOW SWING STUDIO-BERLIN-

A very special Thank You to Guy Sternberg of Low Swing Studio in Berlin. The studio owns a Beier 2mm Brass Snare--6.5 x 14 that Guy has used on many hit records...Some #1 hits. He recently recorded the Beier 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 on the new Prag record due out later this year. Was very happy to be at this show this last weekend with the Beier 1.5 Steel Snare--5.5 x 14. It was The Destroyers 40th...And they, like all of the bands, were spectacular. Every time...Without fail...These bands are professional. organized, and musically great. You all always go out of their way to make sure I am all set and comfortable. Got to catch up with Jeff Simon and see him play on "Slow Ride" with the always great Roger Earl. That was...Fantastic. It is always fun to see Jules Radino, and even ran into my ever cool Kansas bro Eric Holmquist. There are a lot of you...Too many to list. I already said Thank You...But Thank You Again. I truly value your friendship and all of the musical dialogue...

UFO-ANDY PARKER-SEVEN DEADLY WORLD TOUR-2014-BEIER 1.5 STEEL SNARE--5.5 X 14

Special Thanks to long time supporter and friend Andy Parker for his message tonight. He just returned from the European leg of the 2014 Seven Deadly World Tour. He used the Beier 1.5 Steel --5.5 x 14 on the entire tour. The FOH Engineer for this tour was Achim Schulze, the FOH Engineer for The Scorpions for 25 years. Andy said he absolutely loved the drum, and it was the loudest drum he had ever heard. It was so loud, he did not even mic it in the smaller venues.UFO will start recording their new album in Europe next month. This will be the fourth consecutive album Andy has used Beier Drums on. He also plays them exclusively live. Thank You Andy & Achim....
